Reservoir quality (RQ)
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003122
A qualitative or quantitative assessment of a rock's ability to store and transmit hydrocarbons. It is determined by factors such as porosity, permeability, net-to-gross ratio, and fluid saturation. High reservoir quality indicates a greater potential for economic hydrocarbon production, often evaluated from core analysis and well log data.
