Core testing
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004279
The laboratory analysis of rock samples taken from a wellbore to determine reservoir characteristics. These tests measure properties such as porosity, permeability, fluid saturation, and grain density. Core testing provides direct data for reservoir modeling and production forecasting, with results typically reported in standard units like millidarcies for permeability.
