Scale inhibitor squeeze
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003268
A chemical treatment where a scale inhibitor solution is injected into a producing formation, allowed to adsorb onto the rock, and then slowly released back into the produced fluids. This continuous release prevents the precipitation of mineral scales in the wellbore and production equipment. The effectiveness of a squeeze treatment depends on the inhibitor's adsorption and desorption characteristics.
