Slow-release inhibitor

A chemical additive, such as a corrosion or scale inhibitor, designed to be released gradually into a fluid system over an extended period. These inhibitors are often encapsulated or formulated to dissolve slowly, providing continuous protection against undesirable reactions in pipelines or downhole equipment. They reduce the frequency of chemical treatments.
