Corrosion inhibitor
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000870
A chemical substance added to fluids to reduce or prevent the degradation of metallic materials due to chemical reactions with the surrounding environment. In oil and gas, these inhibitors protect downhole tubulars, pipelines, and processing equipment from corrosive agents like hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and organic acids.
