Signature deconvolution

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004448

A seismic data processing technique that aims to remove the effects of the seismic source signature from the recorded data, thereby compressing the wavelet and improving temporal resolution. This process typically involves designing an inverse filter based on the measured or estimated source signature. The goal is to transform the recorded trace into a series of spikes representing reflection coefficients.
