Deterministic deconvolution
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001036
A seismic processing technique that aims to remove the effects of the seismic source wavelet from the recorded seismic trace, assuming the wavelet is known or can be estimated. This process sharpens reflections and improves temporal resolution by compressing the wavelet. It relies on a precise understanding of the source signature.
