Deconvolution

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000968

A seismic data processing technique designed to remove the effects of the seismic source wavelet and short-period multiples from the recorded seismic trace. This process aims to sharpen reflections and improve temporal resolution, making it easier to interpret geological layers. Predictive deconvolution and spiking deconvolution are common types.
