Ricker wavelet
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004438
A zero-phase seismic wavelet commonly used in synthetic seismogram generation and seismic modeling. It is a symmetrical, band-limited waveform characterized by a central peak and two smaller side lobes. The Ricker wavelet is defined by its dominant frequency, which controls its width and spectral content.
