Single-phase flow
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003425
The movement of a single fluid phase, such as oil, gas, or water, through a porous medium like a reservoir rock. This type of flow is simpler to model and analyze compared to multiphase flow. Well test analysis often assumes single-phase flow in the early transient period for simplification.
