Single phase
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003422
Describing the flow of a fluid that exists in only one physical state, such as all liquid or all gas, within a wellbore or pipeline. This condition simplifies fluid dynamics calculations compared to multiphase flow. Single-phase flow is often encountered in wells producing dry gas or in water injection wells.
