Slant stack
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003443
A seismic data transformation technique that converts seismic records from the time-offset domain (t-x) to the intercept time and ray parameter domain (tau-p). This process involves summing traces along lines of constant slope, representing different ray parameters. Slant stacking is used for velocity analysis, multiple suppression, and wavefield separation.
