Slant rig

A drilling rig designed to drill wells at a predetermined angle from the surface, rather than vertically. This type of rig is used for directional drilling, often to access multiple targets from a single surface location or to reach offshore reservoirs from onshore. Slant rigs are common in areas with environmental restrictions or multiple closely spaced wells.
