Snubbing
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003481
To run a pipe string into a live well against pressure, using hydraulic rams to force the pipe downward. This technique is employed when the wellbore pressure is too high to allow conventional pipe tripping operations. Snubbing units are often used for well intervention, workovers, or completions in high-pressure environments.
