Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002160
A condition, in snubbing and other live-well work, in which wellbore pressure acting on the cross-section of the string pushes up with more force than the string weighs, so the pipe tends to be ejected and must be forced in by the snubbing unit or injector. It is the opposite of heavy pipe, and the change from one condition to the other occurs at the balance point.
