Pipe light

Describing a condition where the weight of the drill string or tubing string in the wellbore is less than the upward buoyant force exerted by the drilling fluid, or when the string is stuck and cannot be moved downward. This indicates that the string is either floating or experiencing an upward pull, or that it is stuck against the formation. It is the opposite of being pipe heavy.
