Tight hole
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003843
A section of a wellbore where the diameter is slightly smaller than the drill bit or casing, making it difficult to run tools or pipe through. This condition can result from formation swelling, filter cake buildup, or an undersized drilled hole. Reaming or circulating to clean the wellbore can alleviate a tight hole condition.
