Snubbing jack

A hydraulic lifting assembly used in snubbing operations to force pipe into or pull it out of a well against high wellhead pressure. The jack consists of a set of stationary slips that hold the pipe and a set of traveling slips that move up and down, gripping and pushing or pulling the pipe in increments. The lifting capacity of a snubbing jack is rated in thousands of pounds, such as 150k or 225k, corresponding to its maximum pull force.
