Superposition in time
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003694
A principle used in well test analysis to account for the effects of multiple changes in flow rate over time. It states that the total pressure response at any given time is the sum of the individual pressure responses caused by each rate change. This method is applied to analyze complex production histories and determine reservoir properties from pressure transient data.
