Three-dimensional (3D) survey
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003825
A seismic acquisition program designed to collect data over a grid of closely spaced source and receiver lines, resulting in a volumetric dataset of the subsurface. This type of survey provides a detailed, three-dimensional image of geological structures and reservoir properties. 3D surveys are widely used in oil and gas exploration and development for precise reservoir characterization.
