Type curve analysis
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003962
A graphical well test interpretation method that involves matching measured pressure and rate data to a pre-calculated theoretical solution, known as a type curve. The process involves plotting the test data on a log-log scale and visually sliding it over a family of type curves until a match is found. The specific curve that provides the best fit reveals reservoir parameters such as permeability, skin, and wellbore storage.
