Curve matching

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000929

A technique used to compare and align a measured geophysical curve with a theoretical or reference curve. In well logging, it involves adjusting parameters of a synthetic log to match an observed log, often for determining formation properties. This method is applied in seismic modeling, resistivity interpretation, and gravity and magnetic data analysis.
