Well interference
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004137
The pressure response observed in a well caused by a change in the production or injection rate of a neighboring well sharing the same reservoir. This phenomenon occurs when the pressure transients from two or more wells overlap, affecting their individual performance. An interference test involves monitoring an observation well while actively changing the rate at another well to quantify reservoir connectivity, permeability, and storativity between them.
