Digital twin

Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000097

A virtual model of a physical semiconductor manufacturing process, tool, or entire fabrication plant, updated in real time with operational data. This model simulates the physical object's behavior, performance, and lifecycle, mirroring its current state and predicting future conditions based on incoming information from sensors and logs. Unlike a static simulation, a digital twin maintains a persistent, dynamic connection to its physical counterpart, receiving data streams continuously.
