Split lot
Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000317
A production lot of wafers that is intentionally divided into two or more sub-groups to compare different process parameters or conditions. Each sub-group, or split, receives a slightly different manufacturing treatment, allowing engineers to evaluate the impact of process variations on device performance and yield. This method is a common form of a designed experiment in a production environment.
