Build surface

The platform or base within an additive manufacturing machine upon which a part is constructed layer by layer. This surface provides the initial adhesion for the first layer of material and supports the entire structure throughout the printing process. Materials such as glass, PEI sheets, or specialized adhesive tapes are commonly used for build surfaces.
