Curing
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000091
The process of hardening a liquid or semi-liquid material into a solid state through a chemical reaction, typically initiated by heat, light, or a chemical agent. In additive manufacturing, it applies to photopolymerization processes like stereolithography (SLA) and material jetting, where liquid resin is solidified layer by layer using ultraviolet light. Post-curing is a secondary treatment where a printed part is exposed to additional light or heat to fully develop its mechanical properties.
