Gas nitriding
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000152
A thermochemical heat treatment process that diffuses nitrogen into the surface of a metal part, creating a hard, wear-resistant case. This process enhances the fatigue strength and corrosion resistance of printed metal components. It is typically performed at temperatures between 480 and 620 degrees Celsius.
