Overcure
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000258
The excessive exposure of a photopolymer resin to ultraviolet (UV) light during vat photopolymerization processes, leading to unintended solidification or hardening beyond the desired layer thickness. This can result in dimensional inaccuracies, increased brittleness, and difficulty in removing uncured resin. Overcure often occurs with excessive laser power or exposure time.
