AM 1 sunlight

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000466

The solar spectral irradiance measured at the Earth's surface when the sun is directly overhead, corresponding to an air mass of 1. This spectrum accounts for atmospheric absorption and scattering effects. It is a standard reference spectrum for terrestrial solar energy applications, with a total irradiance of approximately 1000 W/m2.
