Anorexia nervosa

A severe eating disorder characterized by an intense fear of gaining weight and a distorted body image, leading to self-starvation and excessive weight loss. Individuals with this condition restrict food intake, often engage in compensatory behaviors, and maintain a body weight far below what is considered healthy. It is a complex psychiatric disorder with serious physical and psychological consequences.
