Area under the curve
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000770
A quantitative measure derived from a plot of a variable against another, often time, representing the cumulative effect or total amount of the variable over the specified range. In pharmacokinetics, it quantifies the total systemic exposure to a drug over time. This value is expressed in units such as concentration multiplied by time, for example, mg·h/L.
