Concentration-effect curve

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002365

A graphical representation illustrating the relationship between the concentration of a substance and the magnitude of the biological effect it produces. This curve typically shows an increase in effect with increasing concentration until a maximum effect is reached. It is used in pharmacology and toxicology to determine parameters such as EC50 (half maximal effective concentration) and efficacy.
