Areola

A small, circular area of different coloration surrounding a central point, often referring to the pigmented skin around the nipple of the breast. This region contains sebaceous glands that secrete a lubricating substance during lactation. The size and pigmentation of the areola can vary significantly among individuals and during different physiological states.
