Artisol test
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000819
An earthworm toxicity test in which worms are kept in an artificial medium of silica, water and glass beads that holds the test substance, so that toxicity by uptake through skin and gut can be measured. The earthworms swallow the silica paste as they would soil. It differs from the artificial soil test, which uses a mixture of sand, clay mineral and peat.
