Static-toxicity test

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011338

A toxicity testing method where test organisms are exposed to a toxicant in a fixed volume of solution that is not renewed during the test period. The concentration of the toxicant may decrease over time due to degradation, uptake by organisms, or adsorption to the test vessel. This method is simpler than flow-through or static-renewal tests.
