Reference toxicant

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010084

A chemical substance with a known and consistent toxicity, used in ecotoxicological tests to assess the sensitivity of test organisms and the reliability of the experimental system. It provides a benchmark for comparing the toxicity of unknown samples or for monitoring the health of a test population.
