Flow-through test

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004506

A type of aquatic toxicity test in which the test solution in the exposure chambers is continuously or intermittently replaced with a fresh solution of the same composition. This method maintains relatively constant concentrations of the test substance and stable water quality parameters, such as dissolved oxygen and pH. It is preferred over static tests for volatile, unstable, or rapidly absorbed substances.
