Biome

A large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat, characterized by its dominant plant forms and climate. Biomes are distinct ecological regions, such as deserts, forests, grasslands, or tundras, that share similar environmental conditions and biological communities. The distribution of biomes is primarily determined by temperature and precipitation.
