Biphotonic process
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001340
A photochemical process that involves the absorption of two photons by a molecule to initiate a chemical or physical change. This can occur through simultaneous absorption (two-photon absorption) or sequential absorption via an intermediate excited state. Such processes are often used in microscopy and photodynamic therapy.
