Cleft

A natural or abnormal fissure or opening in an anatomical structure, often resulting from incomplete fusion during embryonic development. These divisions can occur in tissues, organs, or bone structures, leading to functional impairments. A common example is a cleft palate, where the roof of the mouth does not fully close.
