Cross-sectional area of the column

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002731

The internal area of a chromatographic column perpendicular to the direction of flow. This area is calculated from the internal diameter of the column, assuming a circular cross-section. It influences the flow rate and the overall capacity of the column in separation processes, often expressed in square millimeters.
