Degree Fahrenheit
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002936
A non-SI unit of temperature equal to 5/9 of a kelvin, with Fahrenheit temperature related to Celsius temperature by multiplying by 9/5 and adding 32. Water freezes at about 32 and boils at about 212 degrees Fahrenheit at standard atmospheric pressure, the two points that originally fixed the scale. It remains in everyday use mainly in the United States.
