Direct transfer gas flow system

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013042

A system in atomic spectrometry where the analyte, after being converted into a gaseous species, is transported directly from the generation unit to the atomization or excitation source without intermediate collection or condensation. This setup minimizes analyte loss and reduces memory effects, improving the sensitivity and speed of analysis. It is commonly employed in hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry.
