Dispersed-phase concentration
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003300
The amount concentration of a species, such as monomer or initiator, within the dispersed phase of a dispersion, for example the monomer concentration inside the latex particles of an emulsion polymerization. It is marked with the subscript p, for particle, and depends on particle radius and time. It is a concentration inside the particles, not the fraction of the whole system that the dispersed phase occupies.
