Elemental map
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003802
A two-dimensional representation of the spatial distribution of a specific element within a sample. This map is generated by systematically scanning a probe across the sample surface and detecting the characteristic signal of the element at each point. The intensity of the signal at each location corresponds to the concentration of the element, often displayed as a color gradient.
