Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003995

Describing a product, process, or service that has a reduced, minimal, or no harmful effect on ecosystems or the environment. In the context of polymers, this designation considers factors across the material's entire life cycle, including the use of renewable resources, energy consumption during production, toxicity, and biodegradability. A full life cycle assessment is the formal methodology used to quantify and substantiate such claims.
