Green polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005026
A polymer whose design, synthesis or use follows the principles of green chemistry, such as less hazardous reagents and solvents, high atom economy, renewable feedstocks and lower energy demand. The label does not by itself mean the material is biobased, biodegradable or environmentally benign. Those are separate properties that a green polymer need not have.
