Green coke

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005025

The raw, uncalcined coke produced directly from the coking process, prior to further heat treatment. This material still contains volatile matter and has not yet achieved its final crystalline structure or density. It is typically calcined at temperatures above 1200 degrees Celsius to remove impurities and increase its carbon content.
