Evolved gas detection
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004140
The process of identifying and quantifying the gaseous products released from a sample during a thermal process, such as heating or decomposition. This technique is often coupled with thermal analysis methods to provide insights into the chemical reactions occurring. Common detection methods include mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, or infrared spectroscopy.
